Only have the Asus infinity to take pictures, until I go home and give it the dslr treatment.

So far, like the quad-core Exynos powered Galaxy S III, the new quad-core Exynos powered Samsung Galaxy Note II can work with the FiiO E7, the iBasso D12, Leckerton UHA-6S MKII, the ODAC and the VentureCraft Go-Dap X; has some issue with the HeadAmp Pico; and doesn’t work with the FiiO E17.

So, in regard to standard USB audio, the behaviour of the Galaxy Note II is likely identical to the behaviour of the Galaxy S III.

Can anyone confirm my suspicions are correct.  CyanogenMOD does NOT work with USB-OTG for DAC's.

I just flashed the latest nightly and it's not working for me.  Nor in AOKP.  My googling has yet to find anyone it's working for.
This sucks.  :frowning2:

I'm on Galaxy S3 USA phone.  But would consider switching to a Note 2 if it's working there.

Random query. As I understand it, I can't use a port multiplier with an Android phone/pmp so that I can plug in both an external USB HDD and an external USB DAC. Something to do with the DAC being USB Host and the external storage something else, or vice versa. I definitely remember it being discussed on head-fi.

Would the same apply for an android tablet with a single USB 3.0 port? I.e. using an external USB 3.0 hub with my single USB 3.0 port on the Android tablet, 1 port in the hub for accessing external storage, the other being used for the usb DAC.

Totally off topic, would the same apply with the upcoming MS Surface Pro tablet and it's single USB 3.0 port?

Thanks

Hello,

I would need to know if there is the possibility to connect a USB DAC via an OTG cable to the Galaxy Tab2?

It works with the Samsung Galaxy S3 so I assume that it should work with the Galaxy Tab2 also?

Furthermore I would like to know if the Voodoo Sound mod will support the Galaxy Tab2 and its Wolfson WM1811?

If so, did supercurio announced a release date already?

Anyone know if the T-Mobile Galaxy S2 (Hercules) or it's twin sister, the AT&T Galaxy Skyrocket can be connected to an external USB DAC?  I've done some googling but I'm not having much luck finding anything that says they are compatible.

I know the "regular" Galaxy S2 (international & non-LTE AT&T version) are good to go.  But I'm not worried about those.

Where did you see that the international S2 can use external DACs? I'd not seen that.

The following setup does not work:

Meizu MX > Micro B to Mini B USB cable > MATRIX USB to SPDIF converter > SPDIF coax cable > FiiO E17 via FiiO's included coax adapter > Philips Uptown

There are a number of possible reasons this is not working. First, the MX does not provide power through its USB port, which the MATRIX converter requires. However, the converter's indicator light is blue; I'm not sure if this means it's just on, or it's on and working. The micro B to mini B cable may not be working, but I'm no electrical engineer and couldn't say why. The E17 might not be working, although other reviews have shown it to handle SPDIF input (both coax and optical) just fine.

Unfortunately, there is not a useful way to test this since I don't think the bits will be sent through a powered USB hub to the MATRIX converter. This means the only thing realistically I can change to test is the cable connecting the MX and the MATRIX. I haven't found another provider of a micro B to mini B cable...
