Android phones and USB DACs

Its a still a hit or miss thing...I think.

There are some DACs that smartphone can communicate directly using the Android sound layer. Only IME, limited upto 24/192.  Non need for UAPP, Hiby or Onkyo HF PLayer.

Example of this is my GO1000 + Note 10.1 (2014 Ed). Using it as my media player on the go. In here playing a video file I got from youtube using MX PLayer Pro.

I'm curious what are currently the best right angle micro-b to micro-b OTG cables that are less than 10cm long? I searched this thread and looked at all of the cables previously posted. The TTVJ cable still seems to be the best option but I want to take an updated look at all of the cables on the market now before I order it.

The USB OTG cable is probably malfunctioning.

Is there a trick to make it work?

I have tried multiple OTG cables (5) all of them work with my Tab S2 9.7 tablet none work with my OnePlus One's.

Everywhere I read that OPO is supposed to be compatible with Q1, why oh why aren't any of mine?

Hey, everyone. Super glad I found this thread, and I'll be perusing it closely.

I'm rocking an HTC One M8 (fw 5.0.2) @nd connecting it to my Oppo HA-2 with this cable http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=301669713346&alt=web.

Since I switched to "High Performance Mode), it has worked great. Now, it won't.

When I connect via USB, the phone detects the OTG cable and goes into host mode. But when I play the music via Rocket Player or Tidal, I get nothing. I'm connecting to port B on the DAC to activate the micro USB input.

To troubleshoot, I switched headphones and got the same issue. Next, I hooked up the Oppo to my windows pc, and there was no issue.

I gently cleaned the phone's USB port and the issue persists.

I'm assuming this is a partial USB port failure on the phone. Oddly, the phone charges and can transfer data.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

How about using USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP)?

Thanks!

That's a lot of information to cull through; I'll go through it during lunch today.

Unless...
Does USB audio player preclude me from using streaming services? ~80% of my listening is Tidal, and my understanding is this app only works for music in your hd/SD card.

According to the USB player app, the phone isn't recognizing the Oppo as an audio device, but everything else is.

When I connect the phone to the computer, the computer can access the phone just fine.

This is super frustrating.

Has anybody made the UAPP work on an Archos 70bcobalt tablet? Still looking for an inexpensive tablet that will output USB Audio to my Geek Pulse.

FYI, Xiaomi micro USB to USB C adapter works, CheckR app indicates it conforms to USB C spec. I think not ideal, as it makes the connection into the phone long and more prone to transmitting force through the phones port, but some might like a cheap way to use their existing micro USB cables. Benson Leung confirmed the Tech Matte ones also conform, for people looking for alternatives.

Hi everyone!
A new product is coming... Do you know what it is?

Do you prefer the black one or the silver one?

 And how about its design?
