Hello fanoble,

I downgraded to v.1.01 of Hiby, but it keeps automatically upgrading to 1.1.1. Can you advise on how I can stop this?

i would make sure auto update is turned off in google play store settings, that might be one way to do it.

Yes, but this way I would not receive any updates for all my apps right? I tried to disable autoupdate on the phone preferences and on the app preferences, but it didn't work, the app keeps updating itself.

that is strange. disabling auto update just makes it so that you manually pick the app and choose update if/when you want.

Hey folks. Quick question to anyone who can answer. I've been searching headfi to know if there's an USB to spdif converter , that will work with my Note3? I'd like to use the optical or coax input on my dac , instead of the USB input. All suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks

iFi IDSD nano will work with most if not all android devices and can convert usb to spdif. As it is a fully portable DAC/amp in its own right it is an overkill for the purpose, but other inexpensive USB to spdif converters are not guaranteed to work with an Android device.

Seems limited to 16/48. Upon digging through all your great info. I saw that the, HA info U2[Phiree] was mentioned in the note3 , list. Is the U2 any good as far as reliability? Thanks

you should have a look to the Hifimediy UX1 sabre DAC : it's a ESS9023 sabre DAC but it has got a SPDIF output (USB to spdif converter). The USB receiver is a Savitech SA9023 : this receiver works with UAPP player or Hibymusic player on a lot Android USB OTG device. Two Hifimediy USB DAC are reported working with the Note 3, using the same receiver.

Hi guys - I'd love some advice please!

I have an Xperia Z3 compact and I have an old Denon DCT A1 Head unit in my car that accepts digital in via coaxial. (edit typo)

I would like to try to get a digital signal from my phone to a coaxial digital input.

It does not accept USB input on the Head Unit.

Any ideas on what I should do? I was wondering if I should try the hdmi mhl output and then split off the audio from that signal but I'm not sure the phone will output that way when it won't be connected to a screen.

If I try the USB Host route as the Head unit does not accept USB I'm not sure how I could then get the USB signal into a coaxial digital signal (could I just hard wire them together? or again will it not recognise it in USB Audio Player Pro for example and also not work? =/

Is there anything I could use in-between that would serve just to accept a digital signal from the phone in usb host style but then not process the sound in any way passing on the digital signal via optical or coaxial (I can convert between them if need be)?

Any advice gratefully received!

Many thanks!

Does your phone support OTG hosting? If so , something like this should suffice. But make sure what's compatible with your phone. I'll try and find the link with the compatibility chart.

Thanks - that looks ideal! I'm pretty sure my phone does support OTG Hosting - Anyone else had success going this route through an Android phone? For some reason I hadn't thought to search usb to spdif adapters.
