I couldn't afford either of those options, so I only carry around a few albums.
If I go away for a long time, I have a 1TB USB hard drive which I can play directly from.

That's why I'm saying this mSATA SSD is better. For the price that is less than that of a 512GB SD card, you can buy a 1TB one. You can carry this in a FLOW which sounds better than AK240.

FLOW + 1TB mSATA SSD is the ultimate winner. Even if other companies make a device with several SD card slots, they won't beat that convenience and price.

Got my Hifime 9018 DAC ($90).

    OnePlus One >> UAPP >> OTG cable >> Hifime 9018 >> Topping NX1 >> Takstar HI2050. Sounds very interesting.

NO native audio (from Spotify for instance).

Hi guys, I think i've completely misunderstood something.

I purchased a fiio e07k to use as a dac-amp with my Moto G with android 5.02 lollipop.

Works perfectly fine on my laptop but I can't get any sound on my Moto G (using USB OTG).

I wanted to use the e07k to play Spotify off my phone to the car stereo

Is it possible to use as a dac? Or did I get it wrong and it's not going to work? :frowning2:

The original e07 works with my S4 running 4.2.2.

What happens when you connect the e07k and try to play music? Is there no sound at all or is the sound coming from the speakers?

Give the UAPP trial a spin: http://www.audio-evolution.com/downloads/USBAudioPlayerPROTrial_2.0.0.apk

Sound come through from phone speakers instead of fiio/earphones

According to DanBa's list the E07k should work with Android 5.X without additional software like UAPP.

Could it be the music files are you playing? My understanding is that Android 5.X only supports 16 bit through USB audio.

    Does it work with UAPP?

My FiiO E17 work with my Moto G XT1033 on official LP 5.0.2

Yes it works with UAPP, cool!

All my music on Spotify though, so need to be able to get it to work on Spotify.

Guys in the fiio e07k thread were telling me it wouldn't work at all? Something about the fiio dac would just be bypassed and it'd still be using the Moto G dac because the fiio isn't certified to bypass MotoG dac... Idk enough yet to understand that

UAAP has network and live stream support.

Haven't done it yet but you can try...

It now has a new interface.

I checked on the Google Play site and all it says is the below. Nothing about streaming from the Internet, I wish it did,
Network playback using Samba shares (should work with Windows and NAS)

USB Audio Player Pro 2.0 confirmed working with Synology NAS and live streams, tried .pls myself.
New UI is also a big improvement.
Using it with lenovo yoga tab 2 8" and iFi iDSD Nano.
