Yeh shun out with that too (no SD slot, non removable smaller battery). Hope they will do better on Note 5.

Just because a phone doesn't have a removable battery or microSD card slot doesn't make it "bad". Yeah. The S5 and all before it have this option, but iPhones have been this way since forever and look how good those did.

The issue here is that many considered the removable battery and expandable memory of the Galaxy line to be very desirable; myself included. I for one, will not be getting the S6 because this. I really don't like the direction that the Galaxy line is headed.

Yeah! For example: do you have an additional 128gb on your Iphone?

Hope they will not do this on their Note line.

I think we should make our displeasure known.

I just tweet the following: Hopefully, the Galaxy Note series will keep having microSD slot.

I agree I won't buy a phone without expandable storage in the future, I really think from the music listening point it's a must.

With daps like x5 and dx90 all having their own quirks with the UI, i'm considering an android phone and dac/amp combo for now until dedicated daps improve, was wondering what's a good recommended phone to buy and dac/amp combo? something that's more or less on par with the sq of the dx90 and similar daps?
I wouldnt be using it as a phone i have an iphone 6+ already the android phone will be purely for music, Thanks in advance :)

Any cheap android phone will do if you're using an external DAC. Get the Moto G 2014 model and say an iFi Nano iDSD and you'll be cheering. You should also look into the X5 2nd generation which should be coming out very soon.

Good luck!

I'm sure others will chime in with better recommendations but I think the Samsung Galaxy S3 is a good choice. It's older so you can probably find one for a relatively cheap price. Also I believe it has a Wolfson DAC chip in it so SQ should be quite good even if you don't use a DAC and just an amp.
As for a DAC/Amp, there are many to choose from even from just this thread.
