I'm about to take a plane trip, and I will be needing as much isolation as possible for $100.

I'm pretty sure that means buying the Shure E2. I was going to try the no-money solution -- wearing my V6 over a pair of 29dB earplugs, but I'm afraid that sound would leak out and irritate the people around me. Darn.

Can I assume that outbound leakage is not an issue with the Shures?

My current plan is to wear the 29dB plugs until they give the OK for electronic gear, then switch to the E2.

There is no outbound leakage with any of the Shure canalphones.

I have tried the E3c's and still prefer the Etymotics for travel use.
