Ok... so I built a CMoy recently.

With my K81DJ headphones, I did some comparisons between direct output from my computer (stock integrated sound) and with the CMoy in between.

It's like when I plug them into the CMoy, it changes from "Yeah. I hear the music" to "Whoa.. I've entered the music."

What's the reason for this? I made sure the volume was the same. It really is a big difference and I wasn't expecting it.

Could it be the computer's output impedance or something like that? Any other reasons?

Headphones need more current and voltage than sources usually give. That's why there are two amplifier sections here. Not everything in audio is voodoo or cryogenic cables treatment!
