Amplifier problem?

I recently bought a new amplifier, and have noticed that when I turn it on, there is a crackle in both speakers. Also, when I adjust the volume when nothing is playing, it sounds a bit crackly.

I can't seem to notice any problems when music is playing.

Is this any cause for concern?

It's a Kingrex T20 amp (a T-Amp).

Oh yeah, a new amp. I didn't notice that in your post. Since that's the case, see if you can have it looked at under warranty. It really shouldn't be giving you issues like that - noisy pots are usually the case with older equipment, and crackle shouldn't occur with a correctly operating digital amp.

you might want to check the connections. or see if any electromagentic interference may be involved from other things in the area
