Amplifier power on makes my display go all black

Everytime I turn on my amplifier using the switch at the back, my LCD display goes all black for a split second before the image gets back. I can't say I am worried, this is probably due to the short distance between my display and my Schiit Asgard 3, which is about 8 inches or so due to lack of space aswell as a short HDMI cable. Still I am curious of the reason behind this phenomena.

Anyone care to shed some light in the matter?

What kind of monitor do you have?
  3. thegen
Some kind of DELL 24" LCD

Are the two devices connected to the same power strip? I used to have an Acer XB271HU that would do this. After switching up plug configuration that went away.

Yes indeed, they are actually. So you mean that plugging either the amplifier or the monitor to a different outlet will solves this issue?

It solved my issue, but my new house doesn't have that issue and I've switched some gear around. I believe at the time I had a Schiit amp.
