amplifier Fiio E1: doubt about impedance

Hi, I'm new here so hello to everyone and sorry for my bad english
I've just bought a Fiio E1 for my 6th generation ipod nano and i want to use it not with my headphone but with my 2.1 speaker set for pc, because when I play from the pc everything goes right, but when I play from ipod the volume is terribly low... But before i plug the Fioo E1  to the speakers I wonder if the amplifier can stand the impedance of the speakers (4 ohm), 'cause the advised impedance of Fioo E1 is 16-300 ohm... I risk to burn the amplifier?

E1 is a headphone amp and it will not have enough power to drive 2.1 speakers!

But the speakers have their own power supply... The E1 would only amplify the audio signal, like it do for headphone... Am I wrong?

I typed wrong message earlier. E 17 does not have line out!

I just looked at Fiio website, the E1 has a ''drive ability'' from 16 ohm to 100, the E17 has a ''drive ability'' from 16 to 150... So in this case it would'nt change anything What I'm trying to understand is if with an output impedance of 2 or 4 ohm the E1 will be forced to give too current and will overheat... The point is that the speakers I use are, unlike headphones, self-powered... So maybe the amplifier won't be forced to give more current and just will amplify the audio signal... I asked in a lot of forum and received plenty of contrasting opinion... So maybe the only way is to wait tomorrow and try...

I do not have electrical engineering background to explain this!
I had a Sony portable audio cd player about a decade ago. It had bass boost on/off option. It had two out puts. one is for headphone and another is line out for amp/speaker set up. Whenever I connected the amp/speaker to headphone outlet of cd player, the sound quality was bloated. But when I connected the amp/speaker to the aux outlet of the cd player, the sound quality was ok. I hope this helps!
