ok, i've recently changed my mind from getting ms-1s to getting akg k240s headphones. therefore the a47 amp i was looking into is also not ideal anymore.

i am on a major budget and want to spend as little as possible on the amp while still getting something appropriate and not subpar for the job. my source will be a 3g 15gig ipod, and at first an sb live sound card (will be upgraded to either an av710 or a revo 5.1, probably the av710).

i am looking at the kind of cmoy you can get on ebay, at the pa2v2, and the govibe. which of these is best for the 240s?

if i go for an ebay cmoy, what specs, etc. should i be looking for in the amp to make sure it's a good one and not barebones and crappy sounding?

i need the amp to be portable, so if you have any other suggestions, please keep price and portability in mind.

if it makes a diff, i listen to lots of classic rock (beatles, zeppelin, floyd, etc.), some later rock (dire straits, etc.), some (but rare) jazz and classical.

thx,
Jack
