Hmm. I would go for a neutral amp for TH600 as they are already very smooth and fun sounding. Do you want a portable amp or a desktop amp? As for portable amp, I really liked how Leckerton UHA-6S.MKII paired with TH600. Haven't tried TH600 with desktop amps though.

I too am looking for a desktop amp to drive my TH600's being fed by a Metrum Octave mk1. At the moment i am using a Just Audio AHA 120, but would like something to sit on my desk permanently.
I guess i should mention i have approx £600 to spend on the amp.

Thanks for the heads up. I briefly listened to a pair of TH900's driven by one and i wasn't as impressed as the HP-A8/TH900 combo, so i cant see me liking it with the TH-600's. Unfortunately the HP-A8 is a bit too steep, besides i really only need an amp as i am very happy with the Metrum Octave.

I love the Fostex HP-A3, but that's basically the same DAC as the HP-A8 but with a cheaper amp...so if you're looking for amps alone, probably get a couple tubes in one of the many setups out there? Or maybe you've already found something?
