Hello, yesterday I ordered my HiFiMAN HE-400 after many days of research.
I'm also going to buy an amplifier and maybe a DAC.
But I'm really new to all this, how do I connect this?
Asus Xonar Essence ST -> DAC with optical cable? -> Amp -> Phones?
Do I really need a DAC?
Do I really need an AMP?
Whats best for me? Both?
I plan to spend no more than 300 euro for this however 200 euro would be better.
What AMP/DAC is the best for my headphones?
Please enlighten me!
Edit: From what I read I seem to like "tube amps" alot, I think I would like this warm sound
they are told to provide.
