Hi all.

Before I start, I would like to say I am new to all this stuff so go easy on me.

I went into my local shop and had a listen to some Grado, Audio Techinca & Sennheiser headphones. In short I fell in love with the AKG K601, sound was great and the cans were so comfy.

The k601's were powered off a Vincent KHV-111 and a project amp around £80. I could tell that the Vincent's sounded better to me. Are the vincents a good choice?

What other amps should I be considering for the k601's? Ideally I want the amp to plug into my computer and be able to hook into a CD player when i buy one in a few months.

I listen to alot of Indie, Rock (Oasis, Razorlight, Coldplay, Paul Weller) that kind of stuff.

Im also wanting to source an amp from the UK, as im a little uneasy over buying from ebay. Should I not be?

Hope my questions aren't to stupid. Im abit apprehensive to post on here as I know so little

My Musical Fidelity X-can V3 works great with the K601.
But so does the built-in headphone amp of my Denon pre-amp.

I think the K601 are one of the best headphones, you can't go wrong with them.

Speaking for myself, I can recommend buying from Ebay. I never had a bad experience.
There's a certain protection for buyers.

And your questions are certainly not stupid.....
