I have a pair of beyer dt831s and they sound great hooked up to my preamp, but my ipod and computer cant drive them decently. what are some good cheap portable amps for this combintation. i listen to mostly rock and jazz. the amp would also get used with a set of koss portapros when i dont want to lug big headphones. thanks

Meier-Audio amps seem to work well with the Beyers. Plus, you'll get the 120 ohm plug that most say helps with the brightness of the DT831.
