Hi all,
I'm looking for something pretty specific and having trouble finding it. I was wondering if anyone had good suggestions. I want a tubed headphone amp/DAC. Here's where it gets tricky. I want a optical input and a analog output, but no built in preamp. I'm surprised this is so difficult. Everything is USB, and that's not what I want. I would really like it to be small, as it will be on my night stand. The headphones I'll be using are Focal Spirit Ones, AKG Q701, Polk Ultrafocus 6000 and Polk Ultrafocus 8000. I will also be using Focal XS books (basically these are nice computer speakers). My budget is $500-$550, but would love to be $300...
