Hi,

I currently have a separate tube DAC and tube headphone amp. it is kinda heavy as i would move to other country later. do you think lavry da10 balanced will be good enough to drive balanced K340?

what should i do to make K340 balanced?
I basically need a headphone amp/dac combo that able to drive K340 properly. Budget wise is around US$1000.

The Lavry Black DA10 drives the K340's decently through the balanced outputs, but it is not really ideal. What are the DAC and Amp that you are using now? Perhaps you should keep one and upgrade the other. If you are really thinking about a balanced setup with the K340's... be warned... it gets expensive.

Ok, i probably should explain more.

I know that tube works wonder with K340 but the thought of changing tubes and the risk that it will get knocked ( i work with bunch of monkey

) makes me seriously considering a solid state. beside i will move country/job. my new boss might not like the idea of tube amps + tube DAC + external hd and all the connections.
