Hi guys,
I have a question regarding PROPER burn-in of headphone amps and CD players:
In order to PROPERLY burn-in a headphone amp, would I need to:
1. Just plug it into the AC outlet, turn it on, and leave it own for a few days without an input signal and no headphone plugged into its jack?
2. Plug the amp into the AC outlet, turn it on, plug a CD player into it using interconnects, insert a CD, put the CD player on repeat, and leave the CD player and the amp on for a few days WITHOUT plugging headphones into the amps jack?
3. All of the above PLUS plug in a pair of headphones into the amps jack?
And, to properly burn-in a CD player, would I need to:
1. Simply plug it in, turn it on, and leave it on for a few days WITHOUT a CD playing?
2. Plug it in, turn it on, insert a CD, and play the CD on repeat for a few days?
3. All of the above, plus plugging it into a headphone amp, and turning the amp on, without plugging headphones into the amp.
4. All of the above, plus plugging headphones into the amp jack?
The main reason I was wondering about plugging the CD player into an amp was because I was wondering if the output jacks [RCA or Coax] on the CD player have to be burned in as well as its other internal circuits.
I hope I am clear on all of this.
Thanks for your answers!
