I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of 36 (pronounced three-six), but for those who didn't know, most of his older albums are available on Bandcamp for free. Not my personal favorite in his discography, but Lithea is probably the best known and most critically acclaimed of his works.

The one-man raw black metal band Ildjarn ironically put out three gorgeous ambient releases. The latter two are a collaboration with Nidhogg. This is about three and a half hours of music. I actually haven't listened to Landscapes in a long time, but Hardangervidda is quite special.

Here's an artist I could only find a couple references to on HF:

He has other albums, but that one is my favorite so far, with "The Ocean Inside" being my second favorite.

I would describe Ars Lucis as being more "light ambient" rather than "dark ambient", but still with a mysterious feel to it.

Myself as well. Always a good idea before deciding to purchase, although earth songs by Protou and Dronny Darko was one of my favorite albums of 2015.

I might pick this one up a bit later when I have a couple of other Cryo Chamber releases to order. I liked the preview track, but didn't want to buy an album based on just one track.

I just started listening to DIGISEED- v/a compiled by ambientium 24bit studio master. It's incredible.
