I'm sitting here watching an Elvis lives 25th anniversary concert on PBS.

Its a live gig, played/recorded recently in front of a crowd by His remaining band members and orchestra. Above the stage is a huge jumbo-tron playing older Elvis footage of him singing. So his band mambers are playing along with video footage of The King.

anyone else see this production?
Is it a touring show, or a one time commemorative gig?

James Burton... man what a player!!

I've never seen this before.
Some of you older members may scoff, but for the younger fans... this is as good as it gets.

It's actually a touring production and it regularly sells out. Considering Elvis never toured outside of the US, these performances are as close as it can get to experience Elvis in live concert. I read that after a couple of songs, you'd forget that you're watching a video projection.

You're in San Jose, right? This show was at Flint Center several years back. I haven't check whether it has toured the Bay area in more recent times though.

If I have the chance, I'd definitely go.
