I would value some recommendations:- been a very happy owner of a Pono - played through Fostex T50RP MK3 in balanced mode, I've loved the sq. But am reluctantly giving away Pono as a present to a music loving member of my family. I know the Pono will be hard to replace and I'm on a budget, ideally not much more than the Pono originally cost me (about £300 ish). I could just buy another Pono...but the cost has gone up on these  and I'm always up for trying something new.
So.... any recommendations for a under £400 Pono replacement? I only listen to my music (mostly high res) on constant shuffle so am happy with minimal ui and no bluetooth wifi etc needed, just a sq on a par with, or even maybe outshining Pono (or at least Pono in balanced mode). My two choices at the moment:- Aune M2 basic model or Hifiman supermini ..the latter has advantage of balanced option, the former is a lot cheaper..... anyway I'd be really grateful for any advice! Thanks
