What are/is a good alternative(s) to Cnet?

do you mean to get reviews, news, tips?-there are sites for all but Cnet is the only one that does all of them (even if they only do a half decent job in each category).

whatever item you're looking for, just find a specialized site. More reliable in most cases. (reviews for ex.) Google is your friend.

Boy, that's a tough one.
For news, there are so many sources for tech-related stuff. My current faves are tech.memeorandum.com, digg, slashdot, engadet, wired, techcrunch.

For reviews: engadet (again), dansdata, and good ol' google.
