Hi,
I've got a pair of B&W P3 headphones that I'm very happy with, except for the cable.
It's far to thin and has a rubberized coating that snags on everything.
Has anyone found someone selling alternatives?
I've thought of getting out the soldering iron and making a new cable, but I'd need to source some extremely thin mono 2.5mm plugs.
The conduit where the cable plugs into the body is 6mm, so I'd need a couple of plugs with a maximum diameter of 5mm. Searches for these have been fruitless too.
I suppose I could cut the cable just below the 2.5mm plugs, grafting on new cable below, but I'd rather this was a last resort.
Any ideas?
Here's pictures of the conduit and the cable.

In case another P3 owner finds their way here in the future, I found a Sennheiser cable (part 83380) which is a great replacement;

It's a bit long and putting a right-angled Neutrik plug on the end was a tricky (the internal cable is that "painted" wire), but all's well that ends well.

I can take a photo if anyone's in the least bit interested :)
