New to forum, hello. Just purchased the above (Costco $190) Friday. I'm sure there are prior threads, but my take is this is a very good sounding unit, both at low and higher volumes. Bass/treble adjustment is very helpful (have to use remote). Batteries (8 D) come in handy. In the store sounded WAY better than the Bose or Apple units priced higher (no batteries for them). It serves as a dock for video out too (comp. or Svideo) for slideshows or music videos (sound comes from the unit, not the TV). Weighs 10 lbs with batteries. Photos/videos look great even on a big HDTV. Ipod fits snugly in the cassette-type door. I doubt it can be beat for the price for an allinone boombox for the Ipod.
