Dear Head-fi Fellows !!

I have been here for a couple weeks now and reading and learning with all of you.

Following Hirsch’s threads about Micro ZOTL, I found 3 David Berning Company dealers world wide: 2 in US… and 1 in???... where???...: BRASILIA !!!. It happens to be MY city in Brazil !!! .

Audio Martins is the place and Ruyter Martins is the owner, a very fine and knowledge man.

So, I appointed w/ him for Saturday morning and 5 minutes before the hour, there I was.

Ruyter and some friends where listening to a Sugden CD player driving a Bel Canto EVO II via a Link III loaded DAC. Speakers: Living Voice, Auditorium. It was very very nice.

Frineds went home, Ruyter cuted the speakers and I started to listen for Spirit Traveler > Merry Christmas Baby, using his demo baby Micro ZOTL for hours !!

My English does not help me to describe and share with all of you how stunning and fantastic experience it was for me. But I will say/show it with fill words:

My main hobby for more then 10 years WAS off-roading with my very dear Land Rover. Now instead, number one is headphone listening… And now on, my off-roading will be with “all that jazz” on board !!!

I even changed my avatar here…from a river splash with my loved LR to a very funny (I like it) Brazilian TV reporter character named Gaviao Bueno wearing his headphones symbolizing my appreciation of been here whit all you guys listening for the best of the best sounds.

Best for all

Ari

The ZOTL can do that. It's really that good.

Every now and then I run across a piece of audio equipment that completely changes the way I think about recorded music. In headphones, that was the Sony R10. In headphone amps, it was the Berning MicroZOTL. I think the ZOTL had more influence on me than any change in audio equipment I made since changing to low-output MC cartridges many years ago.

Hey Daycart1.

Thank you very much! Good to know one more "Team Zotl member" here !

About Brasília, I have a very good friend which is tube specialist. He is a engineer and has a bunch of "sources". And, I think we gona have one more here soon...He is crazy about this amp.

Any way, I hope you guys do not mind if I keep asking about tube staff for you...

About the wallet, I was little lucky. Things here are too taxed and my unit was a demo one that cost less than usual. But still broken...

Nice talking to you !!

Ari
