Hello!

First things first, sorry if my English is bad! Second, I'm not exactly an audiophile, so I might be ignorant to audio terms and common sense, but I'd figured the best place to ask for audio-related recommendations is in an audiophile forum so yeah, please excuse my ignorance

I've been using those dirt-cheap <$8 IEMs they discuss in the Asian brand thread all the time for my daily commute. My commute is really hectic (Public bus from 70's in Southeast Asia is,frankly, a recipe for bad experience) and isn't exactly the best condition for listening to music, so it's nice to know they are easily and cheaply replaceable when they break/gone missing (which happens a few times already). Wel honestly, I'm just too skimpy tot afford anything upward.

A few days ago I lost my current IEM Phrodi 007, which is my personal best bang for the least buck IEM, so I'm looking for new one. This time I have a little more budget, which is up to $30.

I want an IEM that's comfortable for long use (1-2h), but other than that I don't have any specific musical preference; Many of my go-tos are Japanese Rock songs, but I play almost anything that I picked up from TV shows/Anime/Video games/random youtube playlist that somehow got stuck in my head

. I also use them to watch videos/podcasts sometimes. Oh, mic and durability is a nice plus.

I'm initially thinking of IEM from chinese brand IEM (Xiaomi Quantie/Piston, OnePlus IEM, Knowledge Zenith, Phrodi, etc) or entry-level from brands like Sennheiser/Brainwavz (ex. Brainwavz M1). But I saw a local shop doing clearance sale, and they got MEElectronics A151 both non-mic and with mic for roughly $22 and $26, respectively.

Right now I'm thinking of getting the A151 in sale, but if you have any other recommendation, do tell me

Thank you!

tl;dr: Need a <$30 long-use comfortable IEM, all-purpose but quite a few of Japanese rock. Durability & mic is a plus. Current choice is $26 MEElectronics A151 w/mic. Open to better alternatives/other recommendations.

I seem to be repeating myself today. You should check out the SoundMAGIC E10M. It's very durable, has a mic, and sounds great. Smooth and detailed. Also, the VSONIC VSD3S. If you want to go with cheap ones, I would recommend the KZ ATE (maybe $12). I highly recommend the SoundMAGIC, though. Very well-built.
