I have had a few members ask me about the condition and why I am pricing it so low. Here is an excerpt from one of my responses which summarizes these questions / concerns:

I am the first owner. I purchased it new from my local Hi-Fi Audio Shop in Austin Texas. His name is Nickolas Allen and he goes by 'Headfi101' on this forum.

I purchased the DAVE in November and had to wait 1 month for it to arrive from Chord Electronics. Received it on December the 3rd. I unboxed it on my desk and have had it sitting here this whole time. It is in flawless condition and there are no defects. The warranty has not been registered yet, so you won't have any issues there. I had been dreaming about DAVE for over 2 years and I finally had the opportunity to splurge on buying one so I could hear what all the hype was about. Needless to say, it lives up to the hype and more!

Why am I selling it:

I have been heavily focused on trading Crypto Currencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other Alt Coins online over the past 4 months. I started with $4,000 and currently have a net worth of $15,000. I feel as if the market is going to take a huge down turn here over the next week and I wanted to take full advantage of the opportunity so I decided to sell all of my personal hi-fi equipment to leverage as much as I can when it drops. It's risky, but I'm hoping that my $14,000 of audio equipment will turn into $30k-$50k+ in the next 3-6 months so I can repurchase my gear.

I knew that listing the Dave at $8,000 would take weeks to sell on this forum - but I also knew pricing it too low ($6,950) would cause people to second guess the condition (as you had asked).. but the truth is I'm looking for cash quickly as I need to wire transfer it into the crypto exchange so I can be ready to buy when the time is right. I felt $6,950 was a really good price on head-fi (if not a flat out steal) and I was okay with taking the small loss because I hope to earn much more in the near future.

The moment I can afford to rebuy the DAVE I will do so in a heartbeat. But as of right now, I am leveraging all I got (in hif-fi) to take a plunge into trading coins. :)

I hope this helps address any concerns that you may have. You're welcome to reach out to Nickolas (Headfi101).

Thanks and I'd be happy to answer anything else!

Stephen

A word of advice: look at the Bollinger Bands of BTC and you will know you are throwing away your money for nothing. Ofc it’s your own decision but as a fellow trader I have lost a lot when I tried to predict the second wave of a market frenzy. So I’m just trying to help. Anyway good luck with your sell and investment.

Savage4, well said. I am aware of the bollinger bands and right now Bitcoin is currently at ~$14,800. High was $20k.

I am waiting for it to drop to around $7-8k before I use this money to buy in. I don't know when that will happen, but signs say soon.

It takes 2-3 days to get USD into gemini.com (exhchange) + 1 day from paypal to my bank. so i'm hoping for these funds to be there before bitcoin takes a dive.

That said, I will be patiently waiting to jump in at the right time. I'm not big on bitcoin, but there are plenty of Altcoins that have great potential like ripple XRP at $1.49. So I plan to convert bitcoin into alts fairly quick.

Thanks for the advice!
