I built my Alien DAC a week ago, and had nothing but trouble so far. As best as I can figure there is either something wrong with or I have undetected solder bridges on the 2702. Every night this week I have stared at the chip using 2x, 4x and 8x magnification. I can't see the little bugers and I've used half a roll of desolder braid trying to sop up solder I can't see.

The build was fun, but troubleshooting (well more like poking around in the dark) is just driving me crazy.

I need help. Is there anyone in Australia (or even further abroad) who can and would be prepared to troubleshoot and fix this? I am happy to pay (a modest amount) and would even throw in my spare alien Dac board as part of the payment.

PM me if your interested.

BTW I hope this is the right place to ask for this tye of help. If it's not let, let me know where I should be posting.

Someone gave me some great advice when I was building my DAC and that was to run a resistor lead under the pins and it should go through all the way. If it gets snagged, you have some solder under the pins where it's tough to get out with just braid. It took me a good amount of time reflowing and braiding to get a big chunk of solder out from under my pins.

Good luck.
