These are pretty much modded grados right? Which model? Are these better than rs1is?

I believe that they are generally considered to be modded SR125's.

As far as I know:

MS1-SR125
MS2-SR325
MSPro-RS1

Whether they are better or not than the RS1 depends on taste. The MSPro is slightly more neutral and laid back than the RS1.

Some find the Grado sound a bit too bright and forward (in your face), As an RS2 (and MS1 owner), I can understand this, and having heard the Pro's a lot a while back, they are certainly pared back in brightness, while retaining the clarity. Some will prefer this, as the Pros can be a lot smoother.

If you like more upfront presentation in your trebles/highs, then that's a Grado strongpoint over the Alessandro's.
