For sale is a pair of Alessandro MS2i headphones that were woodied and re-cabled by MrLA, a fellow head-fi member.  I purchased them in June of 2007.  The headphones are in great shape; the one problem is shown in all of the attached photographs - the sleeving for the right ear cup has pulled out of the heat shrink.
I didn't even notice this problem until I took pictures of the headphones.  Someone who is handier than I am (which would be the vast majority of people
) can probably fix the sleeving without any difficulties with a bit of heat tape and a heat gun.  This is basically a cosmetic problem; the headphones work perfectly, the sound is in no way effected.

I purchased the headphones for $425; my asking price is $200 or best offer, plus shipping and insurance (if buyer wants insurance) . These are very nice headphones but I need $$$ to pay bills (like my house mortgage.)

I would prefer payment via PayPal -  if paid with a credit card through PayPal instead of via PayPal account balance or direct withdrawal from your registered checking account, the buyer will need to pay the fees .  I will also accept a money order or personal check (shipment of phones to occur after check has cleared my bank.)

I have positive feedback here as well as on Audiogon and eBay - do a search for OakIris.

Please PM me if you are interested in buying these headphones.

Thank you,

Holly

This is an awesome deal (I would say a Steal!) I have the same model with wood cups and they are amazing. Do you know if the drivers are fix with glue or just a tight fit because it would be very easy to fix the cable sleeve. Come on Head-Fier someone buy these before I do for a backup pair
. (Good luck with your Sale!)

Hi Twinster,

As far as I can tell, the ear cups are glued on...thus my idea that heat shrink tape would work to fix them.  I am not sure I would want to try to actually remove the cups, but someone more experienced than I am might be able to do this without any problem.

And, FYI,  sale pending!
