i was going to buy a grado sr60 but then i found out about these, i guess i'm behind.
seem worth buying. if i do then i will have no money for an amp though and i really want one. what does the ms1 sound quality compare to in the grados line. are they built better and is more comfortable than the sr60?

oh and how long is the cord?

I've got the MS2's and if you need to get buy without an amp for awhile you won't have any problem. The MS1's would probably be even easier to drive without an amp, and the MS2's sound pretty good through a pcdp without an amp. I was suprised how good they sound unamped.

I guess you could ask them. I don't no. Most cables are 10 feet long. So they are shorter than most already. 7 feet is double your height?

I've had the MS-1 for about a month now. My other phones are HD-580 and Ety 4s. I find myself reaching for the MS-1 over the Senns all the time. I use the Etys when I travel. I don't find them very comfortable but you can't beat them for air travel.

I like the MS-1 so much that I'm thinking about buying the MS-2. I use them with an Airhead but have a Meta 42 coming from headsave. They do benefit having an amp to drive them but sound ok straight out of my TDK Mojo.

Wow, are you seriously only 3.5 feet tall?

Don't forget though, that you don't want them short unless you're going portable... you don't want to be sat ON your amplfier / source whilst listening to it do you?

but yo said shorter = better quality
no, i'm just exagerating, 5ft actaully. the px200 cord length is ideal for me. yes i am going to use them for portable. so i'm going to save up and buy the ms1 and live without an amp until christmas maybe. if the ms1 is truly as good as the sr125 and hd580, then i will have a very good deal buying it for $100. why did grado take away the 25% off?
