unfortunately i don't believe Alessandro has a dealer in Europe- but as they ship worldwide at a flat rate, even if you get hit with a fee or something i bet they'll be cheaper than your local dealer's Grado!

This is precisely my thinking. The MS-1s work out as about £55 shipped. Many people believe them to be on the level of the Grado SR-125s - which are about £130. So even with, say, £30 tax they're still excellent value. I'll be ordering some next week.

On a side note, how long have people had to wait for delivery in the UK?

It took about 12 days for my rs-1/ra-1 to arrive from the US by usps, and customs/parcelforce charged me vat+£20 handling/duty. That was a big box though, it took just 3 days for some pads.

You'd be better off going for the ms-1 as you say, I mean its UK sr-60 money for a shipped sr-125! Keep importing like me mate, UK prices are so expensive.

I have had the MS-1 since they came out.Original promo was $75 with free shiping so i could not pass it up.

fast forward to now and i still consider this set of headphones to be my favorites even though i have about 20 other pairs of cans, including the RS-1.

Not favorites due to sound though the voicing/dynamic power suits my listening habits/hearing,more the MS-1 is versatile and can be driven from any source with good volume.

With a headphone amp, power amp with resistor matrix, tube amp with matching transformer, straight out of a sound card or portable player, location recording (stealth mics mounted on cans ) at home or on the fly these are the cans i reach for most often

I like my music clear and dynamic (the contrast between loud and soft sounds) and with eye blinking impact - kinda like what i hear at live events which is my benchmark
