Sifting through my Brit cds, I found that the majority of them are produced/mastered by this one wizard by the name Alan Moulder. CURVE, Ride, The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine etc...

And practically all of the bands that Alan used to produce and master does not exist anymore.....duh those were the days.....

Alan Moulder was quite an important figure in the Shoegaze era, producing/engineering for bands like Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, and Curve as mentioned. however, he also did a lot of work with many American bands, like Nine Inch Nails (Alan Moulder is probably best known for THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL), Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers, etc. looking at his body of work, he has a great knack for noise and texture.
