Hmmm....I haven't tried those yet. I'll post later about how well they work for me, after I've had a chance to give them a whirl.

Is there a linky for said Xelento tips? My searches come up with the actual Beyerdynamic earphones but nothing for standalone tips. "Xelento replacement tips" just leads me to Comply site. I'm always on the hunt for trying new tips so I'm intrigued.

I have a pair coming in next month - I really liked the K3003i so I’m excited to hear what AKG have done with their new flagship! I’ll be sure to post some impressions and comparisons to the Andromeda and iSine 20 once I get my N5005.
Question for current owners - are the N5005 picky about source? I'm considering getting a new portable source and would definitely want it to pair well with them.

I would say yes. I found so far my preferred listening with these is via the DX200/Amp3 (balanced). Next I found the N5005 do quite nicely with my AR-M2 & SE cable. The other DAPs I currently possess all come across as too "bright" or a tad harsher in treble. Mind you, I have not yet experimented with the other filters included with the AKG set. Your preferred eartips will come into play as well. I've got a Hiby R6 on order which I'm curious how it will do with these IEMs.
You'll have to see/hear what happens when you get your set to try with your current source.

Thanks @Signal2Noise, appreciate the response! I'm going to take your suggestion and wait to hear them before picking up a new source then. Going to be getting some tips to try with them anyway, so I don't mind smoothing out my expenses!

Any help about where to buy the N5005?
I bought mine from Audio 46 in NYC. But I know that they are backordered now. Have you tried AKG website?

Yes, it's not available, and they don't ship this earphones internationally.
I didn't check, but I am in Asia (Philippines), I would like to have more options. I will check their website now.
