akg vs audio technica

hi there
i am looking to buy a good pair of headphones and in my budget these are the ones that I found to be best( by reading alone):
 
AKG K240MKII
Audio Technica M50s
 
both of them are costing me the same.... I have no interest in mixing and want to use them only for listening to music. I listen mostly to soft tracks, Mozart and sometimes other genres as well but not the Rap type.... hate them. I'll be using them with my iPod touch, GalaxyS phone and with my PC via an Asus Xonar sound card. 
 
However I live in a said country called INDIA and have to buy them off ebay online, so I have no possible way of auditioning either one of them. Please help me with which one of these would be better.
 
PS: my budget is Rs11000 a.k.a $220 with shipping. If there is a better option please recommend it as well.

The M50 is not suitable for your music taste because of congested soundstage and too much bass. The Superlux HD668B will suit you well, in term of sound it's might be compareable to M50 but have different sound signature: better soundstage, instrument seperation, less but more controled bass. And it's less than 60$. So with 220$ you can have a really good setup, not just a headphone like: HD668B(60$) + pairs of AKG velour pad for comfort(25$) + Mini Muse Dac 4x1543(61$) + a warm amp for last 70$

That's the same place I bought my HD-668Bs 10 days ago, I sure that's about the best price your going to get, for something that is shipped to India from the U.S.A.
Also they have great customer reviews, "100% positive feedback"

http://www.thomann.de is good site to buy superlux headphone and you can also order akg 240 velour pad for 16.3 eur: http://www.thomann.de/gb/akg_k240270271_velour_ohrpolster.htm, you should get both to save some shipping fee. The original pad is sweety and hot, with velour pad, it's much more comfortable. And i really recommend you to get a good amp for the 668B, it will improve very much. iPod Touch + Lod + warm amp + 668B is a great combo :D
P/s: lol, i just check and shipping cost to india for a SUPERLUX HD-668 B and velour pad is 50 Euro, so you should only get the velour pad here for 16+10 Euro and buy the 668B from ebay.

thanks buy me and another friend of mine are getting the headphones together and yet shipping is 50 EUR.
plus, my experince with ebay so far has been terrible so i would rather avoid it. here is his post:

What he need: "good bass reproducing headset but not overwhelming loud and dominating with clear sound reproduction" is really what this superlux can do, lol. The superlux is good for symphonic metal and trance because of its large soundstage and tight, fast, punchy bass but with electronic music, sometime it can be harsh. But below 70$, if sound quality is only thing considered, it's hard to beat.
