So I got some AKG's from a guy at work they are old and have lots of wear and tear but the drivers still work. They look identical to the AKG 240's but have silver accents instead of gold. SO I am wondering if these would be worth the time and money to recondition and where I would find the parts for these. They need new Pads immediately and a new cord as the one on there is old and brittle. Thanks.

PS dont upgrade the cable on your KSC75s it makes them hard to use portably.

They are The K240 Sextetts and quite well regarded and sound quite a bit better than the current K240S. IMO yes it is worth it to recondition. See the link in my sig for more info as there are a few versions of the sextett.
