Hi! I've recently bought akg n30, they do sound great (in comparison with my former carbo tenore/soundmagic). But I'm really worried whether I had to pay 100$ more to buy n40.
Literally no information about how do they compare. Assuming price difference and extra cable/filters with n40 I can predict that they should be more or less the same.. But numbers (impedance, sensitivity) are different.

Hope to get some information. Probably it's still a chance to replace them.

Btw. Here in Russia they are ridiculously low priced. N30 is for 130$ (minus gift card, got them for 60$ - absolute steal) n40 - 230$. Pairing them with lg v30.

I am also a new member with just one post until replying to you. I created a thread two weeks ago about AKG earbuds and still no one replied.

https://www.head-fi.org/threads/akg-n20-nc.891247/

It is really odd that not only does the internet lack information on AKG products but no one on this site seems to reply either even with negative information. I don't get the shunning.

Sorry that this is the only reply you have so far and might be the only you'll get. Hope letting you know that others are in the same boat in regards to AKG products helps.

Actually there is pretty much information about akg n40. Everyone are in love with them. I missed an ability to compare them in the shop. Actually n30 headphones are almost perfect for me. Comparing with stock lgv30 headphones they are on a completely different level. So the only question I have - did I have to spend 100$ more and buy n40...

I don't think the lack of responses is shunning, or anything like that. It's probably that the N40 aren't very popular (the official thread is only 12 pages, despite being two years old), and the N30 even less so (no official thread at all that I could find).
You might try reading/asking in the N40 thread if people might have answers to your questions.

My thread was about the N20 ANC so I am not going to post in a N40 thread. As a new poster, I am not allowed to post in any other forum but this one so I can't and neither can the OP in this thread.

Even from one year back on the N20 ANC and two years back on the N30/40, there is very little information on ANC earphones let alone recent information. Earphones being somewhat old would mean people are more likely to have knowledge and experience with them which is why I am all the more suprised no one replied to either my thread from two weeks ago or this one.

Hoping to get enough messages to post there soon))

Ah, right. I'd forgotten that you now need moderator approval to post in other forums.

Good luck with your questions. I wish I could help more.

No problem. I remember my first post ages ago was a question that went unanswered, so I feel your pain.

Not finding much about the N20, let alone the ANC version.
This looks like an official N20 thread, don't know if ANC is included.
Maybe this is all there is for N20 ANC? That thread seemed to die about as soon as it was born.
Really not much info on any of these 'phones. Weird!

There's also a search window near the top right corner of the screen. I assume you can use that? You can search thread titles with the checkbox, or do a more advanced search by clicking the "More..." button.

Just two posts about buying it with no feedback follow through. At least it shows that someone on this forum acknowledged that they even exist. Thank you for linking it.

Maybe I will take 4caster's advice and keep on posting until I exceed the new poster restriction threshold so I can create a N20 ANC thread in a more relevant location. I just wish I knew what that number is. Maybe 4caster does if you don't.

Don't know if you'd like to help with lifting my post count based -- new poster restriction.

It's like 15 posts)) Very strange how this series remained unpopular keeping in mind that Whats HIFI gave n40 5 stars and called them best in under 400$ category.

Even more strange is the N20 ANC's existence barely being acknowledged despite AKG being a high end manufacturer and the buds costing $200. They may very well be the best audiophile buds with ANC out there under $300 yet it is like they don't even exist.

Thank you for posting the threshold number and helping me reach it. I guess I owe the OP an apology for maybe slightly derailing the thread.

We could always continue in the link I in the first post after the OP that made if the OP prefers. Otherwise, I'm fine staying here.
