IMO Massdrop deserves to give me a discount on my M220 for bringing this thread back to life and surely helping with a couple of their sales

In that case, they should send me one for free for providing over 25,000 extra views for it!

Editing this post because this horrible product does not deserve a bump.

3 days of use and burn in with a cheapo low power MP3 player when not in use and one of the drivers is dead already. On the way back to Massdrop for a refund. I will NOT be getting a replacement set. My business will be going elsewhere.

Hello, new here, a friend told me about the drop on these and I was looking for a pair of k240 MKIIs

I ended up joining the drop for the m220, but they'll take a while to get here since I'm in the UK

I found a pair of EDT990V velour pads on Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Beyerdynamic-EDT990V-Headphone-Pads-Silver/dp/B001BYL5YE), will these be alright?

I suppose I should say I was looking for the most comfortable headphones I could use at home, and a friend suggested k240s, as well as sharing the drop when it was active. I want looking to spend too much, so I'd imagine these ear pads would be even more comfortable.

Ngl, Killaruna's posts made me really excited, so I can't wait. I haven't owned any "real" pair of headphones before either.

I did a full scale review including easy modding on audiofanatyk.pl exactly year ago. So you can dig in and read to your heart contest.

More reports of dead/dying m220 in massdrop comments.

They did eventually refund me but it took quite a while.

Glad to hear you have your money back. Looks like a bad batch to me or somebody is trying to abuse their reputation and grab some more coins while getting over the line.

I saw two reports on massdrop comments around the time i was logging in to check for my refund, however that's only 2 + me out of however many hundreds they ship out each time. I hope the DHL service for current droppers is a bit faster....

Google translate unfortunately: https://translate.google.pl/translate?sl=pl&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.audiofanatyk.pl%2Frecenzja-sluchawek-akg-m220-pro%2F&edit-text=

But as far I can tell, my reviews are 80-90% accurate and understandable when translated via GT. The other 10-20% are the situations where translator is not accurate or certain word is archaic / colloquial. For example "nausznicami" or "nausznice" are simply the other names in Polish for "earpads". Still I believe the clou of the review should be piece a cake to understand. I am considering making short and native english review of them here on head-fi, but to be honest, nowadays I'm more focused on my other, vintage models, such as K270 Playback or K260, which are very rarely described even here.

Thanks, can you describe the mods a bit more here? That was where the translation started getting confusing, but I'm really interested in that part. Just some short notes would be fine, I just want to know exactly what you did and what effect it had
