I'm chilling to Rush on my AKG K812 headphones. I'm using them straight out of My Lotoo Paw Gold Diana and it sounds beautiful. I have used the PMEQ to smooth treble.

New member here - did some searching but haven't seen anyone talk about getting these repaired very recently. Couldn't get a support person on the phone so I left a VM and sent an Email. Any wisdom out there?

I use my K812's in music production every day - I check final mixes and mastering on the phones. I LOVE them, but noticed that the L/R balanced isn't perfect, at least in the lower frequencies. They've been fine up until now, so something obviously happened affect them...

Most of the times I use the FiiO X7 Mark II with FiiO AM2A amplification module.
FiiO AM2A has a warm and highly resolving nature that fits my preferences very well.

how does k812 compare with k872

K872 - my impression: smoother heights, no sibilants, dry bass, bass doesn't go that far down.
Highly shielded, if no hairs or eyeglasses break through the seal.
