Dear headphone enthusiasts!

Is there a cable upgrade available for the akg k812 headphones? I really like these headphones except for the very problematic high frequency representation (3-6K?) thats also mentioned in the inner fidelity review, which makes it impossible to me to listen to many tracks and to use the cans generally speaking for a longer period of time.

You're best approach here is to try and tamp down the treble with an equalizer of some sort. Most playback software offer that ability. Schiit sells an outboard equalizer now as well. Otherwise, sell the phones and start over. No cable is going to work in this case.

There's no cable that will change the sound of your k812. If you're seeking a cable upgrade for anything but aesthetic reasons or functionality, ie shorter or longer cable, then you will be disappointed.
