AKG K701 Question

Could somebody tell me what the proper orientation of the ear pads for the K701's is? I notice that one of the 4 openings for the tabs that connect the pads to the phones is white and near the thin part of the pad. Is this used to get the pads in the right position?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

the pads should be thinnest in front of your ears and thickest behind them.

Thanks, that would place the white slot at the front of your ear.
