AKG K701 cable / recable / repair?

I bought a recabled AKG K701 from a fellow head-fier, and now the left channel just died. I am not sure if the cable was just loose or what. Where can I get it repaired or recabled? Thanks.

You need to find out who did the original recabling of the 701s. Each recabling company uses proprietary parts.

Contact the seller and ask him/her who recabled the headphones. Then contact the person who recabled them about repair information.

Hope it's a cable issue and not the driver being damaged. :/

I searched for my PM history and the actual selling post. The seller recabled it himself with Canare Starquad. Am I screwed?
