This question mirrors the HD650 thread I made two weeks ago. The K701 has received much praise for music but few people have mentioned its capability for movie/gaming sessions, specially compared to the HD650's e.g. is the bass up to this challenge? are they good for positional audio?

Don't take this the wrong way, but have you read that the soundstage is lacking or the bass is weak in these phones?

If so, link us to the thread so we can set them straight.

If not, why would you think a pair of world-class phones would struggle with easy sht like movies and games?

Movies sound great on the K701 and you can always easily EQ more bass in which doesnt hurt movies imho. For music however i never use eq and the bass is perfect imho. Games.. well my NES emu sounds great through the K701, i dont play newer games

Ofcourse! I think they're better than the HD650 (w/stock cable)!
