Why does the AKG K540 sound like a $40 headphone, when it's $100?

Yeah, but that really isn't a big issue. The biggest issue is that the sound quality just isn't worth the $100

I'm saying if you want people to help you out with possible suggestions on what to get instead, you need to be more specific about what you find lacking about their sound.

They sound too sharp, like if there's an S word in a song, it's way too sharp, and the sound quality is not so high...
