I couldn't find anything on the AGK-acoustics.com website about this - are any of the parts of the AKG K501 replaceable? The cord seems like it's attached very firmly and doesn't seem replaceable at all, but what about the earpads? Something like this might determine whether I want to keep them or not for a long period of time. For example, if the earpads wear out or are damaged in 5 years and the parts are not replaceable, then that's a new set I'd have to buy (not that I wouldn't, but I don't want to have to throw out a working set of headphones because the earpads are bad).

New earpads cost $11 shipped.

AKG501 earpads are just about the easiest things to replace as well...lefty loosie righty tightie.
