One of the earpads on my AKG K450s has started to peel away exposing the underlying foam. The longer of the two cables has now frayed and only plays one channel. So, I'm wondering: should I attempt to repair them, or just replace them? Suggestions for replacements are welcomed. Something available in the UK for less than £75, with passive ambient noise-reduction and a compact form factor suitable for travelling.
I'll be using them with a Fiio E7, Nokia N8, Roberts Sport DAB2 portable radio and eventually a Fiio X5, for jazz, rock, funk and some classical.
Thanks!
