Hi guys,

I picked up K3003 recently used, I have all the filters but they came in a bag rather than the filter plate.

How do I tell which filters are which?

I have some with black orings and white o-rings.

Can someone help explain?

Worked it out.

Black rings = bass.
Grey rings = reference
White rings = treble

All time fave, mine's still holding up despite the non-removable cables of the modern IEMs. One of those that didn't need fiddling to fit for me. I love mine as well. I bought a used pair, but it eventually developed an intermittent problem in the in-line remote that causes an iPhone to stop, start, and skip songs. No effect on the sound and no effect at all on players without inline remote.

I’ve had my 3003’s roughly three times over the years. I’d buy them and sell them off and regretting selling them each and every time. I bought used pair pretty much new condition about two months ago maybe and still loving them. There is a lot of new stuff out there these days compared to when these first came out and I’ve had tons of them and I keep coming back to these. Just something about their sound that is very much relevant do this day for me. I love every minute of them.

i used mine tonight for monitoring - excellent clarity and detail retrieval. I've had it for years and still have no desire to 'upgrade'.

I love mine. I have other iems including the akg n5005 but there’s something about these which keep me coming back. The paring with the lotoo paw gold is really special.

Lotoo used the AKG K3003 for tuning and testing…no wonder it is a great match! One of my pairs of 3003s is especially for my LoToo PAW Gold.

I like pairing these with the Cowon A5, X7, J3, and V, ibasso DX90 and Fiio X7. They have a wonderful bloated cloudy sound.

Based on some suggestion that I have read on this thread I bought the spinfit cp145 tips. For most of the years I used the final type E tips just for the comfort but the CP145 are now my favorites. Now deciding which filters I am going to use with these tips.

Which filters are you guys using in combination with the cp145 tips?

I use the CP 145s with these as well and go between those and the Final E tips. On my n5005s I use the mid-high and on my k3003s I use the reference filter. I have played with all of them but I have always come back to the reference filter.

Not letting go of mine, already a legend in its own right. This established the kilobuck standard for modern universal IEMs now. If only this has replaceable cable but if mine gave out, will have it modded if ever.

Same case with mine, the cable gave out. Not sure if anyone offers MMCX mods on these.

Thats one of the reasons why i let mine go, in fear of having its cable failing and its shallow insertion
