This thing has a switch on the left cup to turn it on when it's worn and off when it's off your head.  I don't like that.  Now I have to stick something there to keep it on so I can break it in for a few days.

After a few days of burn-in.  I really like the sound. From memory, its as neutral as the K702 that I had.  Bass department is a bit on the light side, but it's refined bass.  The mids are really really smooth with a bit of sweetness to it, not warm at all.  One thing I hope to find is ear pads like the K702.  The ear pad on these K271 are too thin for my taste.

Nice video, and glad to see you're enjoying them.

More Head-fi'ers need to do youtube videos. I'm tired of seeing Beats unboxing videos.

To my ears, these are closed version of the K702.

Nice pictures - hope you enjoy them!

I love my K702's. If you decide the 271's aren't for you, I would take a look at the DT150. To my ears, those are like a closed version of the K702. Enjoy!

Hey man,

I watched your unboxing video on youtube. I have to say I was surprised too that it was made in China. Also It doesn't make sense how the cheaper 141 HD and 242 HD are made in Austria instead. Maybe open cans get special treatment?

I was too because the K702 were made in Austria, but that don't really matter because the quality is good. One thing I don't like was the leather ear pads. They get hot against my ear. I need to try the Beyer DT770 pads on these.

Overall, I like the sound quality. They are very good for the money.

For me, watching unboxing videos is like opening presents on Christmas morning.   :)
