This is my first post and my first jump into the world of quality headphones. I'm hoping one day I can start helping others with questions, however to start, I was hoping you could help me.

Please bear with me for my long winded explanation...I figure the more info I can provide, the better folks can help me.

I am looking for $50 or less portable headphones for traveling that are not earbuds. Earbuds do not feel comfortable at all and I would rather have earcups. Behind the head/clip-on's are also out as I wear glasses and the clips put too much pressure on the arm of my glasses. Since I was also interested in some outside noise reduction (especially for air travel), I was looking for closed back headphones. All of this lead me to the AKG K 26 P's. Based on reviews I was also interested in PX 100's and PortaPros's...however those models are open backed and dropped off my list.

Now it seems AKG has replaced the the 26P's with the K414P. I have found zero info on this new model (aside from the AKG website). I know the 26P's have been criticized for their very heavy bass....maybe this new model has adjusted for that?

So my question(s) are: Does anyone know about these new K414Ps and does anyone have an alternative suggestion I have not considered. (keeping in mind I have never used headphones aside from the earbuds that came with my ipod and the free ones on airplanes)

Thank you...and again, sorry for the incredibly long post.
