Hi,
Could anyone with the AKG K26P phones tell me if you can hear any outside noise? Since they are closed phones. And Do they clamp down pretty hard on the ears, if so can they be stretched...
My thanks for replies.

I don't have them myself, but I read that they isolate reasonably well. Becareful if you're thinking about picking them up. There was a thread a week or so ago here about how AKG reformulated the sound and newer batches are terrible.

With mine I can hear some outside noise but it is minimal. For example, if I'm mowing the lawn I can hear the mower is running but I don't have to change the volume from where I normally listen to it.

To me the headband doesn't clamp much. I suppose you could bend it out a little if need be but I wouldn't do it too much or it may prevent them from folding up completely.

There do appear to be an old a new batch. Mine appears to be from the old batch and sounds great for the price (after burn-in)..... So far I don't think anyone has found a way to tell old and new apart.

Okay thanks.. I would be using these while riding a bike and not sure if wind noise would be a problem.

IMO wind noise while riding would be a pretty significant problem. The headband and cups are both somewhat microphonic and wind rushing over the cups (even at 5 mph) is clearly audible.
